Life is short. How will you live it?
Do you ever wonder how many lives came before us? The lives which have passed by the same globe we are on. The love stories which have been lived out loud, the families that have been created, the laughs which have been had, the pain endured. All of these stories which have been and may still be told from the planet that we ourselves call home.
It’s a surreal experience when imagining the great depths of the universe then thinking about the fact we are on a floating sphere in the middle of this universe. It’s pretty hard to be down when you come to this realisation. The lives we get to live are so far fetched when thinking about how the earth was at the beginning of time. Fast forward to where we are now, it could have never been imagined.
Gravity is holding us down while we stand on a gigantic ball spinning at light speed in the middle of the universe, how magical is that thought.
Surely it becomes more difficult waking up and choosing to spend an entire day being negative when thinking like this.
Now don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying that thinking about this alters our mood immediately to a sense of happiness because thats impossible. We cannot just forget our misfortunes and hardships in one change of thought, it’s never been that simple.
What I am saying is that maybe this thought concept, the concept that there is thought to be a one in 400 trillion chance that we are even here today, you are reading this because you were a one in 400 TRILLION chance is a pretty life changing thought. Why waste this chance being negative.
This thought could be the one which inspires you to not take life too seriously. To view situations with a new and maybe more positive outlook. To cut back on worrying about the things which are simply out of our control, for example the traffic we didn’t plan for, the rain which wasn’t forecast, the supermarket being out of our favourite snack. You can 100% be aware of these external factors but the second you let them affect your mood is the second you are giving away your power along with the control that you have over your level of joy within the day that lies ahead.
Have you ever met someone who shocked you based on their outlook on life, they spin a severely rubbish situation and find a positive takeaway. Its hard not to be interested in these individuals. If you are pretty at peace with who you are and feel happy in your little universe then its likely you will find yourself wanting to be around other humans that are like this, however if you are a so called negative thinker by trade then its likely this amount of happiness and positivty from one person will irritate you.
These people shine a big bright light on all the things that negative thinkers don’t like about themselves because they have victimised themselves so much over the years they have become comfortable in their bubble of complaining. Maybe they are aware (possibly not) of the fact that they can to be a happy human, but the work it takes to become that is deemed to much for them to do.
If the work isn’t put in to activiely healing and becoming aware of why you feel down then how can you fix it? Healing is hard, it isnt always enjoyable but boy is it worth it.
If you resonate with the happy thinkers then i’m sure this has inspired you slightly and you may feel a sense of safety knowing that there is still a world full of joy to be had. If you resonate with the not so happy’s then know that you don’t have to spend your life feeling sorry for yourself, realistically its boring and it’s sad. Note what you have to be grateful for everyday and try to switch them toxic thinking patterns to something happier. It takes time, but you wouldn't plant a seed and expect a flower the next day. The hard work is what the rest of the world can’t see, it;’s deep down none the less it will be appreciated once it’s time to bloom.
Give your self time to bloom.
